Proposed 2009 Adopt-A-Highway/CITO Event Dates

This is our 6th consecutive year
participating in the Ohio Department of Transportation's 
<a class="postlink" title="http://www.dot.state.oh.us/maintadmin/A ... ay/aah.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.dot.state.oh.us/maintadmin/A ... ay/aah.htm">
Adopt-A-Highway
Program</a> and as a NWOGEO and Groundspeak CITO Event. 
 
We are the proud maintainers of a two mile section of US-24/Anthony Wayne Trail,
west of Waterville near Grand Rapids, with a portion of our section bordering
Providence Metropark. 
 
Our obligation is to pick up litter four times a year in our adopted highway
section. In return, ODOT has posted nice free advertising for us on highway
signs, at each end of our adopted section.
The event usually takes very little time,
and we often stop somewhere to eat and/or geocache afterwards. 
 
This is one way of giving back to the community as well as making a good name
for our organization.
We chose 10am to start the clean-ups so we
could end them in time to have lunch, with the exception of the August clean-up
which we start at 8am to avoid the summer heat.
We plan to post these as CITO Events on
Geocaching.com 2 to 4 weeks prior to their dates.

Please vote to accept, reject or comment on
the proposed dates for 2009. They have been checked against several calendars to
avoid any conflicts. However, if you see any dates that should be changed,
please comment here!

Those dates look good to me. I have never participated in a cito event before, and look forward to being at one this year.

Looks like I can make 1 & 2. #3 and 4 I can't make but I didn't do 3 & 4 last year either.

I might have a problem with the 2nd and 3rd ones(not sure when the music fests fall this year yet), but the spring and fall ones look good.

I have added "Rain Dates" to the actual Event Page which should be posted soon.

The rain date for the 1st event will be the following Sunday due the "Geocache 101" presentation to be held on that Saturday. The rain dates for the 2nd through 4th events are the following Saturdays for now.
