Membership ideas

As NWOGEO moves forward as an organization I feel it is important that everyone's ideas are heard and brought to our attention. The SC is committed to planning and organizing events among a few other things. I wanted to start a thread specifically for ideas to be brought up so membership and the SC can discuss them to help make NWOGEO move forward.

My suggestion is that the steering committee always provide the free cookies at the Meet n Greets. Discuss among yourselves.

We hope you consider discussing the idea of a hospitality area at the GeoBash this year for NWOGEO.

A hospitality tent is a great idea. What size tent are you looking for? Also, snickerdoodles rock!!!!!!!!

FWIW, are any of you guys interested in helping out at MWGB? It's right in our back yard. I'm sure theres stuff that we could do as a local group - a welcome wagon with info on the area or something.

We've already signed up at the site to volunteer at the travel bug area.
We plan on being there for most of it, whether it's our complete team or not the whole time.

jslagle- I hope to help out, it all depends on my soccer schedule that weekend...if i'm lucky we might be on a road trip to Toledo or Findlay that weekend and we can just keep going after the game/tournament and be at the bash.

If we can get a couple of things the hospitality tent is a done deal. When the campsites become available for reservations I have the funds for reserving the two sites we need. Scuba has offered to get the next site and provide support for the hospitality tent. Its a chance to show the colors. We want to provide those little things that can make a big difference to out of town cachers. The idea of the bash is to have some fun and meet new cachers so the hospitality tent should fit right in.

Great idea the Hospitality tent...sign me up..that's after/inbetween the bash volunteering...need a volunteer shift calendar...i have 8' tables and a few card tables...shall we start a hospitality thread?...

I tried to get that going LAST year, and couldn't get enough committment to get group tix. If there is an interest, I will try it again!
