T-shirts etc.
Over the weekend, some guy on a jetski told me that NWOGEO has stuff on one of the sites like CafePress. Anyone know the link?

If you take a closer look you'll see it isn't even our logo.GoodDog wrote:Who's site is this anyway? We should have got a copyright on our logo.Yogi57 wrote:NWOGEO

Since I am the new guy, I did not pick up on that right away. But you are correct. That may affect the copyright ability.
I am an amazed cacher!

I ran the shirt consession for a few years for us. We made much of the money in our piggy bank from shirt sales and patches. We finally gave away the last few shirts at the Christmas party in 07. If anyone decides to do it again, contact me and I'll give you some tips on what not to do.

That is our original logo I put together in 20 minutes with The Gimp.
I think I run that cafepress site.

I just moved this topic. Take a look at old posts here too for more history on NWOGEO Merchandise.

Okay, I did the homework, but I think we are still in the same place. This just goes to show you, never trust a guy on a jetski!
I think it would be nice to have t-shirts available. I am more than willing to organize it if no one else is already. Cafepress seems to be the easiest, but they seem really expensive.
Is there any other interest in shirts? What do you think about Cafepress?

Re: T-shirts etc.
Cafépress is fine for very small quantity items, however if enough people show interest in T-Shirts, then it would be MUCH more economical to go the route that Good Dog took when he had them made previously.
We could REALLY use some more Safety Green T-Shirts so that more people would want to wear them at the Adopt-A-Highway Events too! Hint Hint. LINK
It has nothing to do with jetskiing..... just being around long enough to remember these long lost threads!

If you locate a mom and pop shop that is willing to cut their price a bit, you can generally get a pretty good deal. We get our heavy NCOG shirts printed down in Sunbury for just under 8 bucks each. You have to order a min of 25, but those sold out pretty quickly.

She's not quite a mom or pop, but Special K has a screen printer and said that if t-shirts were provided, she would make some CITO shirts free of charge.

Re: T-shirts etc.
I did shirts twice, and I paid about $6.50- 8.00 each, depending on the style. We ordered about 25 the first time and 75 the second time. We kept some in stock. We didn't sell them at cost, as the idea was to get some money in the event fund. If Special K will do them for the price of the shirts, or provide your own, you can't beat that.
