Activities Planning
It looks like I inadvertanly deleted the poll we had here for activity planning.
The poll was 9 to 1 in favor of having poker run again. Suggestions were made to have alternate starting points for the poker run. Several people liked that idea.
Please continue this thread with discussion of ideas for additional activities.

Re: Activities Planning
Important note regarding Cache placement activities:
Keystone wrote:Log Date: 3/10/2009
Hello! Thanks for organizing this event and for working with the Park District. I'll be publishing your submission momentarily. But first, I wanted to remind you about submitting any permanent caches well in advance of the event date. The guidelines say to allow ten days' lead time. This gives me a chance to identify any issues that would need to be worked out prior to the event date. I can also arrange for coverage by another reviewer if the caches need to be published within a certain timeframe when I am unavailable.
Please share this reminder with anyone who's helping with the cache hides. I will be happy as always to work with all of you. Well, except for Cheech Gang, of course. He's trouble.
Regards,
Keystone

I'll be sure to pass on the information regarding advance placement of caches for our "2009 Spring Fling Poker Thing" to the cache hiders.
Maybe we can pool our funds and send Cheech Gang back to Russia in May. Then NONE of us would have to worry about him!

I might draw some money from Good Dog Bank & Trust for prizes. I will get hold of the bank manger.

Re: Activities Planning
Do you think a year membership would be a good prize? I still have time to order one to be here before the picnic.

Re: Activities Planning
At first I thought you meant to NWOGEO......and I started chuckling! But a year premium membership to GC.com would be a good prize, as long as if a Premium member wins they can start that year when their current year expires. (does that make sense?)Yogi57 wrote:Do you think a year membership would be a good prize? I still have time to order one to be here before the picnic.

I looked a little deeper and I have cacher name to order the gift membership. I was thinking that I could order and the winner type in the code number. I guess I will make a mock certificate and after the event order it for the winner.
