Is there some where you can put your activated coins on geocaching in a fake cache or something so i dont have so many coins in my trackable box i make discovery lists for people so they can discover my coins

Re: geocoin box
You can create a cache, and then before it's even reviewed and approved, archive it. Since you are the owner of the cache, you still maintain access to it. But since it was never approved or published no one else can access it.
Yes, TMA has one and I liked the idea, so I have one of my own.

Re: geocoin box
Since I just got home from New Jersey, I missed most of this discussion But, yes, most "geocoiners" and "TB freaks" have an archived cache or unused waypoint (pulled sort of as Hydnckr described, with the exception that it's not really archived, just in limbo) to log trackables in and out of.

So that's where some of those mysterious missing waypoint numbers disappear to!Hydnckr wrote:You can create a cache, and then before it's even reviewed and approved, archive it. I may be missing something but I'll ask anyway. What is the point in doing that?TheMoopAlong wrote:But, yes, most "geocoiners" and "TB freaks" have an archived cache or unused waypoint (pulled sort of as Hydnckr described, with the exception that it's not really archived, just in limbo) to log trackables in and out of.

Re: geocoin box
so that you dont have to search through a big list of trackables in your possesion
so all of your owned coins/bugs (you dont want to travel but you do want them discovered) are in a seperate cache that has been archived

So how are they being "discovered" if they are in a fake/archived cache?thebutterflyeffect wrote:so that you dont have to search through a big list of trackables in your possesion
