Come join us for a meet and eat of Cachers from all around the Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan Area. We all share a love for the outdoors, now is your opportunity to share stories, tradable items, exchange trackables, get questions answered and give out advice. Here you will be able to see Geofriends and meet new Geofriends.

WHEN: Saturday August 23rd
START: 9:00AM
END: The boats have to be back by 5:00PM or we may finish earlier.
WHERE: Auglaize River South of Defiance, OH at the above coordinates
WHY: Geocaching is fun. Kayaking is fun. GEOCACHING WHILE KAYAKING IS SUPER FUN!!! There are over 30 CACHES that are only accessible by kayak or canoe WITH TERRAIN DIFFICULTY OF 5, because of the need for a boat. They are divided into two sections. One is up river 1.5 miles from launch site and the other is 1 mile down river from the launch site. This year we shall go after the second group of caches, so even if you came last year these will be different. There is a gas station and a restaurant at the launch site. This section of the river is dammed. So it has little to no current, making travel up river or down river no problem.

Boat rental is $28 per person for the whole day(9am-5pm)
You will need to contact them to reserve your boat by August 16th to guarantee that a watercraft is available. Tell them that you are with the Geocaching Paddle Party on August 23rd. They accept cash or credit. However if you are using a credit card you will have to stop by the livery itself to run your card before heading to the Launch site at the posted coordinates. If you have cash then just meet at the launch site, at the posted coordinates.

We have this on our calendar to attend. This is something that we have been wanting to do. Sounds a lot more fun with a group instead of by ourselves.

Drat, my mother reminded me that my cousin's wedding is this day. I must say I would rather be at the Paddle Party than where I will be. I might be able to hop down for the breakfast at least.
