We have always had it on a Sunday. Dec 9 th looks good to me. Anadog was going to check Strawberry Acres lodge and report back to Jen. If we don't hear anything soon, and hearing no objections, I'll rent Simpson again.

Either Simpson or Strawberry Acres sounds good to me. I wonder if we need it for the whole day. It seems we were done "early" last year.

I vote for the 9th since I am off work that day.

Anddog got back with me yesterday. The small hall holds 100 people, the whole hall is 200. They have 12/9 open. The rental would be for 9 hours from open to close. I have the phone number for the person to talk to & Anddog is goingto email me a PDF of the brochure they gave him. I will update this with a price as soon as I find out!

Dang, Cheech! I just got it from Andy! Guess I don't have to attach it now.
I can't think of anyone who is a resident of Holland right of the top of my head. Also, they need a certificate of insurance.

I think 4 hrs is enough. Cache some before hand, stop in to warm up, cache again and come to eat. The time will be more condensed but 4hrs mingling should be plenty. We can stretch it a bit if we do Simpson.

I believe we can get more than 100 for the Christmas party, so we would need to do the larger "Full" rental or minimum of $275 resident and $600 nonresident. I don't know if they would give us the "Funeral" rate.

What is the 4 hour rate at Simpson?

I checked Simpson's bookings and 12-2 is gone, but 12-9 is still open. I put a 7 day hold on it, so we have until Wed. 8-22 to decide. Simpson would be $154 plus deposit for 4 hrs.

I don't want to sound like a fuddy duddy, but this conversation sounds familiar to me. It seems as though we have been through this before.

Simpson was a good place last year, and I think it would be nice to have the Shindig there again this year.

We have Good Dog willing to take care of the details for Simpson, and for Holland we have we have a bunch of what-ifs . If we mess around until the last minute, our good option will be gone, and we will have nothing.

Just my $.02

I agree with Handyman and if there are no huge objections I suggest we go ahead and confirm before the "hold" runs out.

Thanks Good Dog for going the extra mile.
