[hr]I just learned that I have access to a kayak. If anyone is heading out to find or do a maintenance run on one of the "boat required" or "boat recommended" caches in the area and would like company let me know because I would go along. In a later post in this thread, OnDHunt wrote:A "Boat Required Picnic" event (GC1E6YR) was just published.

I might take you up on that. Treasure Islands usually doesn't survive the winter well and Gizmo Guy rescues it for me.

Yes I noted that someone found it in a bit of distress not too long ago.GoodDog wrote:I might take you up on that. Treasure Islands usually doesn't survive the winter well and Gizmo Guy rescues it for me.
The watercraft is still in winter mode at the moment, even though today would have been a great day to be out!
I'll have to check on our island caches as soon as I can get on the water this season between too many other time consuming obligations.

Re: Boat required
I don't work Friday's (and occasional other days) I'm off at 6PM and have a kayak. I am always up for a paddle. I need the woodtick and north cape caches.

Re: Boat required
Dual kayaks sound like a good idea. If you all plan to do some island caches, I may tag along to provide emergency transportation support.
Re: Boat required
I need those too. My schedule can be some what flexible. With a few days notice I can get most Fridays off too. If we drag Gizmo along that would be great. It is always good to have a tow boat too!BlackBrownDog wrote:I need the woodtick and north cape caches.

Re: Boat required
Myself and I'm sure Schwnman99 would be able to provide some transportation.

Re: Boat required
Where did you come from KG? I am beginning to think that you're avoiding me...leaving parties before I get there an all. You missed the demise of schwnman!

Re: Boat required
The demise of Schwnman that night was inevitable. The bottle of golden color mexican liquid was a sure sign. We'll make sure that stays home if a boat trip is order. Anyways, we had a prior engagement but it's early in the summer and we'll catch you next time.

Re: Boat required
I think this could become a little NWOGEO armada!
We may want to give the Woodtick/North Cape cache owners a heads up however, since the "multi" was in dire need of maintenance last year.

Hrmmm...I smell event...Redneck Yacht Club, NWOGEO style. Meet at coordinates in the middle of the Maumee and only log it if you sign the log book on the kayak in the middle of the river!!! LOL!
Re: Boat required
This could be the first annual blessing of the fleet for the Redneck Yacht Club!
I will e-mail the owner of Woodtick (the multi) and see what I can find out.

Wow, I have not been on here in a while, and look who pops up! KGJET! And he is offering rides on my boat. Sounds like a great outing, I may have to help plan this one. KGJET, are you getting back into caching or what?
