Update:

We have been asked to have a table at the The Hancock Park District’s 12th Annual Fish Festival that will be held on Saturday, May 3 at Giertz Lake at the Riverbend Recreation Area. The booth will be in the Lakefront Activity Center, located at 16618 TR 208, off SR 568 to TR 241 east of Findlay. (N 41° 01.876 W 083° 33.663) Our booth will be open 8AM - Noon, we set up at 7:30.

The Fish Festival is a free youth fishing event, open to children ages 5-13. (visit link) for more information. ODNR’s Division of Fisheries stocks the lake prior to the event with 500-1000 brown and rainbow trout. The lake is closed to adults until after the fishing event.

This year the HCP is expanding the event by having conservation/outdoor groups set up tables in The Lodge during the event. We have been asked to participate. There are 250-350 people who like to be in the outdoors expected to be milling about!

PM or just stop out if you'd like to help for a little bit.

I think the majority of the caches will be walking distance from the Barn. Com'on down!
