Flash Mob
The organizers who brought me the idea of the Flash Mob the last time are looking to do it again! The last time the event drew over 1000 people across the country. This time they want over 5000. The date is going to be November 13th Saturday November 10th. Does anyone have a good place to hold it this time?

Anywhere but "barnacle bears' cache 'It's Just a Fluke' .
Somewhere in the downtown Toledo area though. Let's get this Flash Mob on WTOL.

Re: Flash Mob
Those webcams are worthless. Tell them we are supporting the power of pink and we well have a army of cameras at OUR event with live coverage.

Re: Flash Mob
Think of it as the micro of events. They only last for 15 minutes. During those 15 minutes everyone shows up, we have pictures taken, feed the whole crew, have a raffle, trade swag, sign the log, and disperse. It's a lot of fun. The last one had events going on at the same time across the country and over 1500 people participated. This time we are going to shoot for 5000! To see some examples of flash mobs, go to you tube and type it in. You'll get several different versions. I hope you can attend this one!

Re: Flash Mob
All that in 15 minutes?! I might have to attend just to see that! Is there a purpose other than to say you did it?
Have a great day!

Re: Flash Mob
I visited the sight and had trouble finding info. From what I did read in the forums there, it looked like the date they chose was Nov 10th, not the 13th.
What am I missing?

I took the liberty of editing your initial message to insert the correct date. Hope you do not mind.ScouterJoe wrote:It is on the 10th. My typo. Sorry.

I think downtown Toledo would be interesting too. However parking is always an issue there.
International Park is another possibility, and parking is very close. We may not draw much attention, but we would also not be on private or semi-private property.
I would have also suggested meeting somewhere at the new Fallen Timbers area, however after seeing their security, I would be concerned about doing ANYTHING their without their consent in writing!
Levis Commons had come to mind too, but I'm not sure about thier security either.

I wish we were going to be in town... I could tell both the kids, "All these people are here for your birthday party."

Re: Flash Mob
So no dice on the flash mob? I was for real this time going to be there, too. Unlike the last 5 things that I told myself that I would attend and then not go to.
