Have you seen pathtags?

We're currently working on a design for ours...

but jslagle's is my favorite!

This is the first time I've heard of these. I guess these are less expensive to make than geocoins? Is it someone local who started this?

I'm not trying to be commerical, just answering a question. They were started by a member of the group that does the geocoin club as a less expensive option to geocoins. They are on sale right now, until 1/15/07. I we're working on one, nothing final.

There are two artists that are very good at pathtag art.

The other is of course Rusty, but you have to get him at:

I've also heard that Team Lareau (Brian), out of Michigan, is a graphic designer. He already has four different pathtag designs, and they are pretty nifty. You just have to look up his Gc.com profile, and tell him I sent ya.

If you download photoshop, there's a template to do your own. If mine comes out well, I may volunteer...

If you're having trouble getting artwork from Madhatter of Fox and the Hound, I would shoot a note to Vicky (honeychile). She's been very quick and does great work. I would be cautious in trying to have Rusty do your artwork unless he's doing a coin, too. His workload is pretty heavy already.

I have a mini FAQ in the works over at http://www.COGeocaching.org in the Travelers section. My #1 recommendation is to go to the pros though. It makes a huge difference.

I don't intend this to be commercial either, but from this past weekend it would appear that NWO has really taken Pathtags on as a major sig item.

Yay!!! Mine has made it into the "most talked about" and highest rated categories. because it is still one of the newest, it shows in all three categories!!! (when 2 more get made, it will bump mine off there, but I am SO proud!!!
