Temporarily Disable Listing for ON THE THIRD DAY SUCHATRAVEL BUG HOTEL
.... aggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
wearing Disbelief Dusty Pink lipstick, i am so very, very sad to disable this urban regular size cache listing, as the ammo can has been stolen from the Westgate Chapel church property by someone so naughty that now we're out a good cache for kidzzz to find...
with it were 8 Travelbug Trackables that i can only hope are someday soon found & placed somewhere... also was restocked with lotsa good swag - guess it was too tempting...

rethinking the cache placement now...
thanks for letting me vent...........

Apparently, Ancient Lake also went missing. BlackBrownDog got a log from someone on her WebCam cache saying that they were just at Ancient Lake and all they found was a ziploc baggie with a Ranger's card in it, but no cache. It's unclear whether the ranger took the cache (really unlikely!) or if someone stole the ammo can & left that in it's place for an odd reason. In any case, since the original owner is no longer caching and local cachers keep replacing the container, I'm hoping someone will step up & take care of this. My weekend is shot with a curling bonspiel, but maybe someone can do it?

At least people are signing the business card instead of logging a DNF...

Last time there was an issue, was it a year ago or more, we wrote the C.O. from their profile page.
We did hear back later saying they were planning on going out there and checking on it.

Has anyone tried writing Mark Robinette to let him know about this issue?
Can't hurt. :D

I wonder why they just don't let a local cacher adopt Ancient Lake?

We have offered and as option in our last note to them.
That's when they came back a week later saying they'll go check on it.

Well, we see someone has tossed a throw-down at Ancient Lake on Monday.
This is not looking good, as it appears perhaps Oak Openings themselves have removed the cache.
In place of the cache a business card was found (picture included).

The throw-down maintenance plan currently operating will only last so long.
Swampy Ranger seems to turn up only when there seems to be an issue.
But as far as we know, the bigger issue that it probably doesn't have a permit (can't imagine the C.O. going through the work to get one).
Which means if the park begins to get annoyed with this situation, all they hafta do is realize if they contact geocaching.com, they can have it archived.

I believe the Naturalist we had worked with (Tammy Saunders) has moved on.
If someone has a good relationship with the new one, perhaps we can somehow get a permit for it by proxy.
Since I doubt the C.O. would be motivated to adopt out after all this time.

amanda.howard@metroparkstoledo.com

However, I can verify that I do not have a working relationship with her, I have had a request for a Metroparks permit waiting since 9 June.
