Most DNF's in a day?

Saturday was the annual Belle Isle event.

I was lucky to find 71 caches on the day, OCCD was with me for all of them.

But I was able to record a personal record 10 DNF's.

Has anyone ever recorded more than that in one day? What is your best DNF day.



UPDATE: I missed a DNF, the traveling cache. We now have 11 for the day. Possible nwogeo record.

I don't have you beat. Most I had in one day was also ten on 30 Jul 2009 in Springfield, OH area.

I think we would've quit caching for the day if we were getting up to double-digit DNFs.

We DNFed only one new cache at Belle Isle, think we didn't find 4 of last years. Didn't log DNFs on those as they were being archived at 6pm.
However people were still logging them, even though they were clearly gone. Sad, really.
Then again, we only found 46.

We gave up on Belle Isle after running into a string of bad luck with the multis on the north end of the island. DNF, broken multi, DNF, DNF, got frustrated and gave up.

When you quit I bet you didn't realize you had a good shot at the record for most NWO.GEO DNF's in a day.

So far looks like Swoop and I are tied. w00t, w00t!

I had my first ever DNF on Belle Isle on Saturday.
The big reason I've never had one before is that I have Rattrack's phone number in my phone...

SW00P and OCCD could have had more than ten, but a local called rattrack on two of the multis on the north east of island.

One stage you had to go out in the water to get the coords. Of course it was a 3 stage multi rated 1.5/1.5.

Next year I hang out with Handyman or at least his phone.

Yeah that was the point where we decided to be done.

I know one of our party explained their displeasure with the automatic D/T ratings of almost everything there being 1.5/1.5 to a rep during lunch.
Especially after we all got about skewered going after one in a heavily-bushwhacked swamp that was 1.5/1.5.

New total 11 DNF's for the Belle Isle event.

I forgot we had looked for The Coaster Cacher II. It is a traveling cache. An ammo box.

OCCD and I came up empty. So now we are at 11. Woot Woot!!!!

I guess Pax and I DNF'ed them all... That's what happens if you DNL (did not look) and DNG (did not go)..
