was checking out the GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit - Corvette Museum...GC4R6PT and following the amazing sinkhole disaster in the Skydome attached to the museum...
news video: 8 Vehicles Swallowed by Sinkhole at National Corvette Museum & subsequent official museum release: Sinkhole Collapses
perhaps though, kudos should go to geocacher -N8theGR8- for his log comment:
"Thank you for setting up this exhibit and for allowing me to log a new icon!
Too bad the museum isn't into hosting an earthcache about sinkholes..."

Re: Amazing news at GPS Adventures Maze
Hopefully they can fish all those vettes out of the hole. I'd like to see a video of them attempting it too.

Re: Amazing news at GPS Adventures Maze
more insight from cacher -n8thegr8-:
Hi Joan, I talked with a couple of the employees while I was there. They said that they had to close off and seal the room for now because there was a pretty potent sulfer and mold smell coming from the hole. They'll be shipping the cars to Detroit for repairs in a couple of weeks. Right now they're working to stablize the floor to get a crane in there to get them out. Thanks again for the email! I figured I'd try to bring a little levity to the situation. I'm glad nobody was there when it happened! Take care,Nate
