BE CAREFUL WITH CACHE CONTENTS

Post by T-Hunter »

I read a post on facebook that a cache found a razor blade in a cache while searching through it. She stated that she is going to start dumping them instead of rooting through them for now on. Sounds like a good practice to me.

Here's something disturbing as well. Checked on our new Defiance cache last night. Found not only candy in it, but a handful of these:

Had three people find it yesterday, and maybe can understand a bit of candy. But live ammo? My photo tech & gun nut didn't even recognize them, and had to research last night. He hoped maybe they were little freebie promo token shells. Who in their right mind puts live ammo in a cache? Thank goodness my boss doesn't work weekends, or I'm sure we would've been archiving it this morning.

There was ammo found in a Bible Park cache back a year or two ago.
The worst thing I have ever found in a cache is a still wrapped condom. :?

Obviously, a knowledgeable shooting sports person did not put them in there. Those are like gold right now. Never thought I'd see the day when 22LR ammo was in short supply.

I once found a toy hand grenade complete with sound effects in a cache under a park bridge. Pulled that out before rehiding the cache.

Found a .45 round in one of the Toledo park caches a few years back.
