An interesting Yooper Powertrail

Post by Mighty_Mo »

I was snooping around for a friend and came across this interesting 202 cache power trail. Might be fun with ATVs or Jeeps or minivans at night. The caches appear to be 0.1 mile apart so 202 caches will be about 20 miles.

I emailed the owner and he says ATVs are allowed. They need to run on the side of the road on the paved sections. I understand we will need Michigan permit for our ATV and it will cost $16.25 or so. I have a 7x16 flat bed trailer so 4 ATVs would be a snap. I believe GrizzFlyer would be interested so that makes 3 another interested party would fill the trailer and share expenses.

We would need to figure out the logistics though. Night run or day run / 1 or 2 days / how to get from finish back to start / week days or weekend / etc.

This looks real interesting. The CO says he is thinking about putting out another 100 or so later this summer to complete the loop. This is definitely a 2-3 day trip to make it enjoyable. One day up and maybe do a few, one good day to complete it, and an easy drive back.

Would be interested but a little too expensive. Not the $16.25 for the permit..... I'd first have to buy an ATV to go with it.

I know I don't have the longest streak

geez--- this is a greybeard pin-up calendar? ...ammo cans could do double duty as caches and as calendar camo cover-up props !!! ....
imagine, it would probably not have a need for any micros...
depending on the 5/5 nature shots, put me down for a dozen copies -if the price is right, the resales alone at the mwgb should bring a nifty profit !!!
