I'll take a lamp post over a locust tree any day. Last year I accidently jammed a honey locust thorn into my head. The thorn broke off and I had to go to urgent care center to have the remaining 5/8" thorn removed. That find was the most expensive cache to date. Plus, I'm no longer concerned about cutting my hand on a rusty lamp post because I got a tetanus booster shot during that visit.
I've never done a benchmark, but would like to find at least two of them. That would give me one more find than my father-in-law.

I prefer Earthcaches over Benchmarks!
Of course there are the state line posts that are about every mile or so along the border with Michigan. I am sure you have seen them, there are caches at about half of them...
Next time you are in Henry county, you can do the two easiest Bechmarks available. The Henry County Courthouse is a BM, and so is the Liberty Center water tower.humdrumbill wrote:I'll take a lamp post over a locust tree any day. Re: 10 Questions Just For Fun
1. Ammo can
2. GPSr
3. Traditional
4. Lamp post
5. Paper or Paperless - depends, normally paperless, but for field puzzles definitely prefer paper
6. Group caching or Solo caching - either way
7. Coins or Travel bugs - neither, I usually loose them
8. Multi or Puzzle/Unknown - Tough call - generally puzzles, but I love a good multi
9. Clever hide
10. Earthcache, since I never think to look up benchmarks (I'm only 30 or 40 behind on logging the latter)

[quote="McCombRef"] Which do you prefer:
1. Ammo can or Lock and Lock Lock and Lock
2. Smart phone or GPSr GPSr with a smart phone for information only
3. Micro or Traditional Traditionally I prefer a regular
4. Lamp post or Locust Tree If Mo goes first, I do not care
5. Paper or PaperlessPaperless
6. Group caching or Solo caching a group is always more fun if you have the right knuckleheads
7. Coins or Travel bugs TBs, coins never last in the wild
8. Multi or Puzzle/UnknownPuzzles, as long as I can figure them out!
9. Park and grab or Clever hideA clever park and grab is nice, but in general a clever hide is preferred
10. Earthcahe or BenchmarkEarthcaches, I am currently working on a 500 earthcache challenge. If I can find every earthcache in Ohio and Michigan, I will be close!
