Geocaching, FAMILY friendly?REALLY?

Post by T-Hunter »

I saw a username of someone go scrolling across the bottom of the GC.COM site. I was shocked to see what his user name was. I thought we were to have "appropriate" names. This guys name was Bad Mother Fu**er (yes it was spelled out). I emailed GC.com and filed a complaint and would hope others do as well.

I don't know Groundspeak's email address so I sent the info to Keystone and asked that he forward it to Groundspeak.

I would have thought Groundspeak would have had safeguards in place to prevent this from happening.

I was caching in Columbus & had come across a cacher who was signing logs in front of us. I can't remember what their real caching name was, but they were signing the logs WTF! Really? Find some other way to abbreviate.

They apparently made the one guy change his account name and the other cannot be found. However if you continue searching for the last part of their names yet another account comes up. Has no finds or hides so at least we wouldn't have to see logs under that account.
