Before long we will have to have approval from law enforcement before it gets published. There probably have been more caches destroyed lately than bombs.

This seems to happen every 3 to 4 weeks someplace in the country. I want to see the film of them destroying a light post to destroy the "bomb"

I see a new challenge cache here..... log a minimum of 5 caches in at least 2 states that were later blown up by the police.

It's just gotta happen.

And the states can only start with A, T, or F

Just for grins I mapped out the bomb scare/panic caches, draw your own conclusions:

What's your data source for bomb scare caches? Glancing at the map, I saw that there was no icon along the border between Ohio and the West Virginia panhandle (Wheeling area). The same eager Columbus bomb squad was called out to make the long trip east along I-70 for that one. I guess they are hard up for training opportunities.

I wonder if they have a Geocaching name and if they Log their caches blown up. Maybe a challenge cache in the making.

That is a very incomplete list. Without much effort, here are a bunch that I found and which weren't on the list, in case any of you are bored and like looking at this stuff.

Do your superpowers make it easier to search for such things? 'Cause I wouldn't know how to begin to search for similar incidents.

I have my own little bookmark list, too.

Unfortunately, because of some other baggage carried by that bookmark, I can't share the list with you.

Basically I add the cache to the list when the incident comes up for discussion in the GC.com forums or in our private reviewers forum. Not every incident makes it to the public forum.

On the very day of the Columbus incident, there was also another one in California.

Hello everyone, I am new to this whole Geocaching. I am having a blast looking for them. I heard about this website. Is there anyone close to Troy Oh that would be willing to meet and go Geocaching? I have done this by myself and it would seem to be a lot of fun if there was a group or one or two to go. Let me know. thanks
