Looks interesting, and the walks don't appear very far.
Wish we had seen that when we were out by Oak Openings this morning.

That is pretty cool. I am not sure if i will partake however because I can see myself going to all parks every single week and spending lots of gas money.

It is too bad these were not done as geocaches. Washtenaw County Parks and Huron Clinton Metroparks both in Michigan do a similar adventure with geocaches.
For those who are interested, one of the caches in Washtenaw's Adventure is GC2X4CR and you can check out the Huron Clinton's at http://sites.google.com/site/geocachingadventure2011/.

I am an amazed cacher!

We saw the one at Providence while caching at the fault line. It was right at the location of the earth and traditional there, like they meant to place it there.
Would have been cool as a geocache thing.

Re: Metroparks Contest, GPS involvement
Did 3 of these, then started wondering why. I already go to a metropark almost every day to walk. No geocache incentive. If I go and see one, I'll write down the Secret Word. The one at Farnsworth has coords that are about 9-10 miles off (maybe repaired by now, haven't looked at the official page in a few days), but its right at the FAULT. The one at Providence is near the canal boat ticket booth. The Oak Openings location will require a slight detour, they have the bridge over the south waterfall removed to replace the abutments that were washed out by the high water.
It might introduce new people to a GPS unit I suppose.
