Re: New GC.com "upgrades"
Does that last little piece mean that they are going to update the Stats to include Delorme Challenge pages?

As Uncle Rich used to always say when watching the kiddies opening presents:
"...Oooooooh....aaaaaaah...."
"...Oooooooh....aaaaaaah...."

I'm sad to say I have to agree.
Why are rthe cache pages so narrow, they seem to be 50% background.

Re: New GC.com "upgrades"
LOTS of unused white space. Lots cleaner and more modern looking. Resolution on text pages is better.
Maps need a little help. The 'beta" map uses up a lot of screen space on the left side for the legend and options. Can only turn it -on- or -off-, should have an adjustable window. Easy to do, they could add that feature later. Seems like they don't zoom in as far as the previous version, can't get much detail on sat maps or topo maps. Maybe I'm just used to Google Earth. Even on my smart phone, the sat map resolution is much finer.
And if they screwed up the c:\geo android app, I'm gonna be peed-off. I just tried it and it keeps force-closing. Never saw that before. Maybe just a lot of traffic.

Did they remove where you could look up a cacher, by caches found or hidden

Re: New GC.com "upgrades"
Well, seems c:geo is not compatible with the new geocaching website. They say the issue will be resolved in a day or two.
Hope so, it works/worked much better than the geocaching android app. Too bad too, I like many of the features of the official geocaching app, but it just doesn't run well.

The Mrs likes the new maps, Mr. TM doesn't.
The transparency of the main page to see the background underneath seems oddly distracting.

If you click, on Play at top, you can click on Hide and Seek a cache which will take you the search options.butchontheroad wrote:Did they remove where you could look up a cacher, by caches found or hidden

Re: New GC.com "upgrades"
I figured that was the case. Last night I set C:geo to allow for automatic updates. I guess I can live without it for a few days. [:)]GrizzFlyer wrote:Well, seems c:geo is not compatible with the new geocaching website. They say the issue will be resolved in a day or two.

I have been too busy to explore the site too much, but I did see my CITO page. Talk about an annoying background.TeamMina wrote:The Mrs likes the new maps, Mr. TM doesn't.
