Last chance at Litzenburg caches.

Post by McCombRef »

To help with the Spring Fling, many of my caches are going to be archived so new ones can be placed.

This is assist the cachers coming to the event to find all seven caches in a timely manner and to help eliminate the cost of gas used to drive around looking for caches.

Most of the local cachers have found these caches and the traffic on most of them is very low.

The tentative archive date is April 23rd.

I thought they were going to be archived the day of the Spring Fling May 14th. That is the way the Belle Isle caches are handled. That allows people to find both the old and the new caches. The new caches are then published on the next day. The cache page will show they were found before the cache was published, but that doesn't make a difference.

That way people won't need to visit Litzenburg twice in a month, thus saving gas.

This is what I just heard from T-Hunter, as I am starting to get the cache page created.

I like Mo's idea. I think I have only found one of the current ones. That would save me from having to make a trip to Findlay before the fling. :P

As I understood the plan was to have the poker run caches reasonably close. Leaving the existing caches in place till the bitter end just increases the reasons for people to come and enjoy the festivities.

OK, quit your whining! I talked to Mike and I will archive only the ones that need to be archived after the event.

If the park was larger, I would just add more caches.

Even though we won't be at the Spring Fling, it's always nice to have a new set of caches around.
We'll hafta see which McCombRef caches are being archived.
In case we can swing down there before they go away.

Just a reminder, all of the caches that will be archived after the Spring Fling have been in the part for at least two years and have been used for prior spring events.
