State Game Lands #109 is now my oldest found cache. I still haven't even grabbed the oldest cache in Ohio. I should do that sometime...

GC12 was placed the day after Mingo.
After GC12 is Beverly, one day later.
Here is a list of the oldest 10 caches.

When the earliest numbering system was converted to the current one, the early caches were renumbered by state, not when they were placed. Not even sure they did the states alphabetically! Maybe GG can shed some more light on this.

From what I can tell, they started on the west coast, and worked their way east.

I can finally post here. I just got back from a vacation with the grandkids and planned it so I could get this cache "Mingo" hidden on 5-11-2000 , the oldest still active cache. I found it on 6-19-2011

We logged GC30 - Mingo in early September before it went missing, then grabbed the oldest in Iowa on the drive home.
We hadn't thought of looking for the oldest caches until Handyman mentioned Mingo, so a big thanks to Russ!
