Master Food/Beverage/Chili/Soup List

Post by shannienkitch »

Starting this topic so we can have ONE definitive spot which lists what everyone is bringing. Please post what you'll provide and we'll update this first post regularly.

A few points:

1) Please provide enough of whatever dish you're concocting in order to serve everyone in your party, if not a bit more for good measure. This is the holidays after all, a time of plenty! :)

2) We need someone to step up with hot beverages as well as the usual complement of soda/juice/etc. Coffee and hot chocolate will probably be much appreciated given the usual weather. Granted it may end up being 75 degrees that day, but we probably shouldn't count on it!

3) Soup and chili contests! BIG MONEY for the winners. Just a reminder. BIG BIG CASH. :)

Sorry we were out of touch and out of town for awhile, but now we're back! Less than two weeks so let's get it going and make this event a success! Thanks!

I'll bring a crockpot full of meatballs in a sauce of some kind(probably BBQ). I'll also bring 5 2L Caffiene Free Diet Cokes. I have some plastic cups I could also bring along.

As for hot chocolate, I have a 10 cup Mr. Coffee I could bring for hot water...

BTY: You might want to post a note on the GC.COM site also saying potluck signup is now on here, or on the cache page.(or maybe GG can do another page update...hint, hint! :D )

Would anyone object to me bringing a stick of deer summer sausage, cheese and crackers? If not that is what I will bring.

Just don't know what to bring! Normally I'm a freeloader and just bring my appetite. But we will grab something from a local walmart or kroger near Perrysburg prior to arrival.

Will also bring two ammo cans (smaller size) to give to the oldest cacher and the cacher with the most cache finds. GizmoGuy can help me with this one. Hopefully the oldest cacher doesn't have the most cache finds. haha

And yes, can't wait to taste Bambi.

I'm bringing White Chicken Chili for the cookoff. Will also bring cheese/sour cream, etc.....to go with it.
I can pick up a big can of hot chocolate to make use of the hot water if no one has signed up for that.

.
It looks like we need meat. So, from a formerly long time bachelor here's some ideas:
Bucket of chicken
:chicken:
Stoffers lasagna (buy ahead, and cook it)
shredded beef or pork, or manwich and fresh buns, Maybe
..........pickles or olives.
Bratwurst and fresh buns.

All the above and chips and Bushes  beans
