We're ready for another round of Golden Ammo Cans for the newly acquired "thousandaire's". 8)

For those of you that were unaware of this tradition or haven't been witness to the presentation yet, here's an explanation:

GOLDEN AMMO BOX - Originating in the Erie, PA area, cachers with 1000 finds started to make "golden ammo boxes" as a gift to the next cacher in their area to achieve this milestone after them. They would paint an ammo box with gold metallic paint, adorn the box with the cachers name and some detail of their milestone find, and place small geocaching related items in the box as a gift to the other cacher. This spread to the Cleveland area, and to Northwest Ohio. In NWOGEO, Grizzflyer received a box at Midwest Geobash from Luv Wahoo and BlackBrownDog have received their box from Grizz at the 2005 NWOGEO Christmas Party. Since this time there have been several other cachers at 1k. Hydnckr, jslagle, twonutcaches, bookisme, The Moop Along, and The Moops all received their golden ammo boxes at our Spring Event in May 2006.

The next presentation of Golden Ammo Cans is scheduled during the upcoming 2006 NWO Holiday Shindig!

Emails were sent out the other day alerting the individuals of their priviledged status. The list so far... (those in blue are confirmed to attend the Shindig)

Maybe with the economy all messed up we should downsize the awards to golden matchstick containers.

Naaa... The can of paint will nicely do an ammo can, but will be a bit much for a matchstick container! :D  :D

Anyone with an interest in participating please get back with me this week. On Monday November 17th I'll post the order of can giving and receiving to allow everyone time to do what they need to do. If anyone has trouble finding a can let me know, someone has 2 sitting on a shelf and I'll put you in touch with them.
