In this season's second episode that aired September 29th, which we are just watching now, has an "interesting" portrayal of geocaching in the first ten minutes. The corpse is found by two "cachers" trying to beat each other to the FTF. If you'd like to see it, it's being replayed on NBC tomorrow, Saturday night, at 10pm.

The episode is titled "Sugar". Enjoy!

YAY for DVR!

Nice portrayal. I havn't seen two cachers fight over a FTF like that since OnD'Hunt and I showed up at the same time.

Did Cheech say Grand Central Station or My Aunt's Constipation? I can't miss an opportunity to quote a line from Madagascar!

This is one of my favorite shows and I had missed the intro so it was funny to me when Det. Benson showed the cache opened it up and said something like "what kind of treasure is this?" The trade items in the cache actually looked realistic to what you would expect to find in a cache. With regards to the cache on the show looking like a real cache they did a pretty good job. However, I seriously doubt Groundspeak would let someone keep the screen-name of the cache owner on the show.

According to maps.live.com the given coordinates actually put you at grand central station which is another indication that there is a geocacher on the set of this show or someone on the set did some pretty good research.
