I have a cache named the Ohio History Challenge (GC1F4TH) on my watch list. You can read about the cache to learn how it works, but one of the caches need to complete the cache, Whispering Pines (GC2A74), was reviewer archived yesterday. The reason for its demise can be found at the following link. You need to play the video to get the connection to geocaching.

The way it sounds to me, the cache is in a safe spot that you can get to and out of without too much difficulty. But he may have wandered a little more out of the way and that is where he found trouble. DOH!! is all I can say about his outcome. Another black eye on the caching world. I agree, if he was a true diehard cacher, he would have said something that would have taken the attention off of caching. Something along the lines of an alligator was chasing him in the woods and the only way to get away was to jump off the cliff. You live, you fall, you heal, you learn. Instead of GPSr, he now has NWB both Lower Extremities.

What was the terrain rating on that cache. I would check it myself but GC.com seems to be busy right now

The cache is a 2.5/2.5 Not something that would have cliffs involved. I haven't ever been there to check it out myself though. Has anybody on here been there?
