Re: NWOGEO Coin
We had considered that as well. Before we'd make an Flag shaped coin, I'd be interested if geocache ohio was going to make another coin this year...just my $.02.

Re: NWOGEO Coin
I'm just posting some input on design here. I've read the posts and I like what's being tossed around. I like butterfly's idea of the small icons and symbols of ohio on the back of the coin. Of course, the NWOGEO logo on front works the best. The Ohio flag shape is a neat idea as well. Also, regarding the paypal donation post, I'd be interested in donating a little money to help get the collection tray started.
Re: NWOGEO Coin
If you go with the flag, this is another idea.

Ohhh! That's cool, too! Whatever y'all decide, I want one.

Re: NWOGEO Coin
Stepshep. Can you post this variation too? Ohio flag with the NWOGEO Circular Logo in the center of the star field instead of the Cito Logo. Then put the Cito Logo on the rear.
Since it is a NWOGEO coin and we are in Ohio, I thought they should be the most prominent and together on the obverse side, with the remaining detail on the reverse side. And also try showing our domain name in upper case as "NWOGEO.org".
Just my 2 cents.
P.S.
If you follow old threads, we decided as a group a long time ago that our name should be displayed as "NWOGEO" and not "NWOGeo" or other variations. I mention this because their are old logos out there that still show "NWOGeo".

Re: NWOGEO Coin
Yes SS, that is great. Now can you squeeze in the text around our logo? Take a look at the graphics I updated a couple nights ago here in our download area. There is a complete circular logo there.
I wonder if it would look better without the internal ring too. Just the logo and text inside the white circular area.

Re: NWOGEO Coin
I like the Ohio Flag shape the best with the last obverse side you posted. (NWOGEO Logo inside Ohio Flag)
What about using the tree design on the reverse side somehow?
You are doing quite well with MS Paint.
I'm sure someone with graphics programs could create any designs we may settle on.
Anyone else with design ideas?

Re: NWOGEO Coin
After seeing the coin butchontheroad brought to the Findlay M&E, I think the white parts of the flag should be glow-in-the-dark.

Did the white areas still look white in daylight, or did they look off-white?
