Eh, minted in China? What's wrong with American made? Nothing's wrong with China, I just don't see the point in importing all of our goods and outsourcing all of our countries jobs. But wahetver, I'm just trying to find a price range and get things rolling. The Steering people can take over, I just saw no progress on the forums so I kicked the idea again. I'm just trying to find a price. Also if we get a price and design and everything, could the Steerers set up a Paypal account that can be like a Paypal donation thing. ie. there's one on shurtugal.com ., that would help with the extra cash, say some people put up 5-10 bucks or so and then 7-14 people later there's enough money to get a mold made ($70). Then the coins will pay for themslves if they're all bought.

I don't mind taking the lead on the coin, but I am not worthy of a design. I have spoken to Rusty about several coins, and Im sure we can handle it with him. With die fees ($80 a side) we should be able to pick up coins for a reasonable price. If we could turn this thread into a post your ideas for the coin sides, it would help a lot.

I guess that I was misunderstood. I may be mistaken, but I can't think of an "American Made" coin.

NO, no that's not what I meant, it was just a ranting point for me. I know even the place I'm looking at, I'm pretty sure they mint coins out of the U.S. So designs, anyone, it can even be crappy. Just an idea. Look at mine, it sucks.

Keep it simple. NWOGEO logo on one side, something cutesy on the other. In silver, with blue enamel lettering.

Ummm...I'm out of ideas for the other side. Bears and dogs? Pawprints? Compass rose? "This side left blank for lack of interest"?

I think the new shirt design would be great for the back of the coin. It would put you guys on the GeoCoin map of a coin to have.

Okay okay how about this? I made this really quick in paint but it gets the point across. The text would just be raised up, and the back could just have the tree in color. I know one of you has to have phtotshop. Sorry about the double post.
