Yeah, but there's no better way for a geodog to spend 25 years than caching!KeystoneGC wrote:Wow. That's like, 25 dog years.

Re: TeamMina has cached 1000 Earth days Aliens report
We weren't exactly abducted by aliens, but we had a bit of a squabble. After Mina found the cache and had us open it, the hidden alien leader remembered us as the ones who hit a deer out at Devil's Tower. The alien claimed it was a scout, and our reckless driving cost them much Maritan money. We claimed it cost us a whole lot more. Things got so ugly after we argued over currency exchange rates the alien exploded and covered us with green goop. Good thing we took the photos before finding the cache.
We were gone all weekend at an emergency clinic in Genoa. Took the medical professionals there more than a day to get us cleaned up & checked out. You should still be able to see the green goop stains on their waiting room carpet. Mina came a day later, as she ran into Elmore to find the cache owner for help. But alas, he was too lazy to get out of bed. Not very responsible.
If you don't believe any of this, go find the cache. We locked the alien back in the box, and it didn't hold up very well, as you will see. And when you do, throw some loose change in the cache. That'll teach the green bugger a lesson!

I believe the longest streak belongs to California geocacher, "kablooey," who started finding at least one cache per day on July 16, 2003, and hasn't missed a day since. That's 3400+ days in a row. And, I know he doesn't fudge -- he really, really does get out every day.TheBearclaws wrote:What streakers you are! Congratulations, I wonder if you're first to do it?
