What PDA software can do this?
Hi guys. I just got a Palm TX so I can go paperless. I know I could have got by with something a little less, but I liked the idea of wireless browsing, and the ability to expand memory capability with a SD slot.
Anyway, what I'd like to do is put as many caches as will reasonably fit on the PDA, from both the NWO area and the Dayton area. This I think I can figure out - generating pocket queries seems pretty straightfoward.
The trick that I don't know: I'd like the ability to read my separate GPS unit visually, enter my current coordinates into the PDA, and have the PDA re-sort and list the caches by distance from my current location. This would allow us to spontaneously hit the trail, without having to go online first.
What Palm software does this? Anyone have any ideas?

I have a pocket pc. I'm thinking about Geoscout 1.2. Has anyone used this one?

Re: What PDA software can do this?
Check date of original post, I've been using cachemate since May 24.
It's been working great, but I've since decided is would have been better to buy a GPS to contain all the Pocket Query information than a PDA. Would be much easier to search for nearby caches if I didn't have to stop, get current coordinates from GPS, and tap them into PDA. What GPS can do this automatically?
What I really want now is a GPS unit that will use a satellite phone connection to download the nearest 500 caches directly from gc.com. And while we're at it, it should have an alert status in hibernation mode and automatically wake up and alert me if I happen to drive by one. Except it would filter out ones like the Tiffin Micros. Unless Mrs. was with me, then it would be ok. But it needs to have a built-in solar charger and battery life of 3 weeks. And only have one button. And cost less than $100. Oh, and I want it in Hunter's Blaze Orange or in Metallic Mint Green. Can't really think of anything else...

It should predetermine the ones you are going to DNF so you don't need to get out of the car.

That feature would have come in handy recently

Re: What PDA software can do this?
Haven't used that. If GPX Sonar doesn't work well for you (I used it for quite a while but it had issues with GPX files created from GSAK. Normally for the cache page I really needed to read)ScouterJoe wrote:I have a pocket pc. I'm thinking about Geoscout 1.2. Has anyone used this one?
Last summer Cachemate was released for PocketPC. Now you can have the cool program that all your friends have without the stigma of owning a palm based device.
