Check gpsnow.com and gpscity.com. One other thing to consider, the last 2 years Garmin has done a $50 rebate on 60/76 Cx/CSX models Aug 1-Dec 31...

I just got a 60CSx from an authorized dealer on Ebay for 294.00 + 10.00 shipping. That's right 304.00 total for a new (not refurbished) in the box GPSr. This was not a typical auction in that the price is set and you select the "buy it now" option. He had many for sell and sells pretty much all the models.

That was indeed a great deal! You still may want to contact Garmin to make sure you are still covered with their warranty however.

If he is indeed an "authorized dealer" it should be good.

Nope! Got no notification either.

Here are the changes from 3.60 to 3.70:

- Fix issue where bathymetric (underwater depth) lines would not show up in non-marine night color mode.
- Fix issue where tide page can show the wrong date.
- Fix shutdown when the day view calendar page has more than 9 waypoints and a point at index greater than 9 is deleted.
(aka "The Cheech Fluke")
- Fix issue where tracklog setting was changed when unit was put into mass storage mode.

I'm really glad they fixed that first issue! I can't imagine how much longer I could have put up with THAT problem! :)

Thanks for the unofficial SW update notification CG!

Actually issue #3 is a problem I had that I reported to them, it took them a while to duplicate it, but it is fixed now.

Press "find" to get to the find menu
Select "Marine Points"
Select "Tide station"
Pick your tide station...see...date at the top.

Unless you were being "fecesious". or facetious, but I prefer the other spelling.

What YOU don't use it all the time? I bet fostoriaohio does.

I'm not gonna upgrade if it turns the Unit ID number into a yellow blob...

The yellow blob is a user option, you may select from numerous colors. Hit Setup/Options/ User1/Return/Mix/Color/Stir/Help/Quit/

I guess I'm going to have to read this thread now...
Special K just bought a 60cx from her friend the other day. We took it out for it's inaugural run on Sunday and decided the $100 she paid for it was well spent. It's more user friendly then my Magellan, but I think the Magellan is simpler to use.

Welcome Jimmy System and Special K!

So that you are not reading stale information, I have edited the lead post to this topic thread to reflect some changes as of this date. So if you read it once already, you may want to read it again. Unfortuneatly there were too many suttle changes to list them here.

One change i remember was that a new version of the POI loader software came out in August. The change log said they fixed a problem with Asian POI information. I don't think I need to worry about getting the new version. On the other hand, Cheech Gang, with his world travels may need to! :)
