Sure.... if your arms reach around your body twice!

Actually could probably spin it on a flat surface using your finger against the antenna if you can manage the spin rate properly.

Thanks for all the info folks !!
Your welcome Grizz!

You do know that the Topo and Street Level maps are two different packages...... unfortunately.

TOPO US: http://www.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/topo.jsp

City Navigator North America: http://www.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/citynav.jsp

You can preview them both at the above links.

Can I add you to the "60CSx Roll Call" list yet?

Question for owners of both Topo and Street mapping Garmin software.

Since I have never used TOPO software in my GPS, I was wondering if/how you use both products in your GPS at once.

For instance, when you select the Map Screen, how do you switch between products?

If it is a smooth operation, I may buy TOPO to augment my map data.

In a previous post I mention prices for the 60CSx and the fact within three months of buying mine, that lowest prices dropped $90.

Since a number of people have showed interest in the the 60CSx and the 60x models, I occasionally check the typical GPS sales sites, along with the various price comparison sites to find the best deals.

Note that the prices can change daily. They also can be different on the comparison sites than the actual store site. You can sometimes find better deals if you link from the comparison sites, such as free shipping.

Also note that there is a difference of about $40 between the best prices for each model.

06/17/06, 12:30 Prices:
[hr] Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx: (WITH compass and altimeter Sensors) $389.99 with FREE shipping claimed at ComCast Shopping

$399.87 + $5.97 = $405.84 at NexTag

Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx: (WITHOUT compass or altimeter sensors) $349.95 with FREE shipping claimed at ComCast Shopping

Well yes sorta. The two TOPO versions you are talking about are for the National Parks. You MIGHT be able to get by with just the TOPO US software.

Check out that online maps at TOPO US: http://www.garmin.com/cartogr...e/topo.jsp to see if it will meet your needs.

Read about making your own FREE TOPO maps before, and just found this link again: http://home.cinci.rr.com/creek/garmin.htm

I think I may try creating a local TOPO and see how it works.

There is a menu on the map setup screen to disable and enable various products.

Goto the setup screen on the map screen - view the list of maps, then hit menu.

I think it's one copy of topo for the whole US.

The price is a big one to swallow. There is a $50 rebate from Garmin, let me know if you need a slip. Applies to 60"x" units purchased after July 28th. But ahhh...the reception can't be beat!!! Yeah Garmin!!!!

In part GizmoGuy411 wrote:Garmin is pleased to announce that new software is available for the GPSMAP 60Cx/60CSx/76Cx/76CSx.

The new software is: Ver. 3.20

Changes made from version 3.10 to 3.20:

* Updated daylight saving time dates.

Does this mean I get to sleep an extra hour at the cache site or one hour less?
