I'm leaving on April 8th for a 2 week trek across the US and was looking for some caching strategies for long hauls. I'm currently using a Garmin eTrex Legend (so I'm somewhat limited on waypoints) and an iPaq PocketPC with GpxSonar. I have cables to connect the GPSr to my PPC or my laptop that I also plan to bring along. A lot of the drive out to AZ will be highway driving where I need to make pretty good time. So rest stop caches would be best. I'm not aware of a way to create a query to pull a reasonable number of caches for this purpose. Later we will visit several National Parks for which I'm confident I can create individual pocket queries. Any suggestions regarding tools, software, query formatting, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I hope to make it to the meet and greet on 4/4, but I'm not certain with the amount of prep remaining.
Thanks in advance,
TNJed
BTW, if anyone has any TB that need to head west (AZ, UT, and CO primarily) let me know and I'll try to grab them before I head out.

You may want to contact jslagle about this. He took cross country trip in the past and recorded every cache within I think a mile of each exit of the expressways.
He may have some helpful suggestions.

aha, I get to feel useful about something.
I just saw in the gc.com forums a topic that mentioned this website:
www.geotruckers.com
Lots of rest stop caches for lots of routes. Looks as tho it's a website that isn't complete, but has a good start.

Mr. Useful,
It sure seems that your website is the same one mentioned in the forum topic that Mrs. BBD directed us to. A good job though in linking to it off of our page.

SA
