Magellan eXplorist GC

Post by McCombRef »

Has anyone used this unit?

It is $200 and was built for geocaching.

I read the forum on GC.com but there wasn't many true reviews, just a bunch of people talking about the same 2 or 3 features it doesn't have? :deadhorse:

Does it have a strong reciever?

Is it accurate?

I like the other explorist 210 model but it didn't include cache information or logs. What I understand GC does.

I 've got one. It's my second. It's got some great features. It has outstanding paperless abilities. Downside: it has a screen text size that I havn't been able to see since I was 20. BIG downside: the first unit I had froze on start up soon after I had it. Magellan sent me another. It has done the same. I'm waiting for it to be replaced so I can sell it to some poor unsuspecting person on eBay. Don't buy one. I've been a magellan person since I started. This my force me to garmin.
