Issue with its not about the numbers site

Today when driving to Columbus, I picked up caches in three counties along the way. Upon generating my "my finds" pocket query and uploading it to itsnotaboutthenumbers, my county cache map is incorrect. I found a cache in the city of Marysville in Union County and this county did not fill in on the map. This cache is definitely located within the county line especially since this city is the county seat :) Anyone had this happen before and if so, how do I correct it? Or is there a way to. I am planning on heading back via 23 instead of going 33 again to 68. So, I don't really want to go find another cache while on this trip to see if it will count. I know, call me lazy :)

THANKS!
*frustrated in Columbus*

Editing to say that I forgot to mention I tried uploading the zip file to the site 2-3 times and it was still incorrect.

I have had a similar problem when I don't wait long enough to do the My Finds pocket query. I have had occasions where I've logged my find for the day then ran a MY Finds query right away. For whatever reason, some of my finds for that day didn't show up. Now, I try to wait until the following morning before I run the MY Finds query and I have not had that problem since.

look at the PQ in GSAK to see if the caches in question are there yet

Thanks for both of your replies.

Rowdie, I will probably now wait until awhile later to run the query so maybe it was too soon. Hoping when I re-run it this week it will pick up that county. I ended up finding another one in that county anyway so we'll see what happens.

Thanks Cheech, will check that out too. I can't use GSAK since I have a Mac and don't have a virtual pc setup but maybe the MacCaching program I just downloaded will tell me the same info.

Gotta love technology 8)

Hey P-burgzoo, I just took a look at your Ohio map on the website and Union county is no showing up. My guess is that you were the first person to have uploaded a query containing that cache. When that happens, the website does not list the cache anywhere until it confirms what county the cache is in. That usually takes about 24 hours.

I re-ran the pocket query a few minutes ago and Union County now shows up. Must have been a glitch in the site or like OnD'Hunt said, it had to wait to confirm what county the cache was in. Thanks to all for your help and I've learned a couple valuable lessons.
#1 - Wait at least 24 hours to run the My Finds pocket query.
#2 - Not all Macs come with cheese.

You need a little more work on lesson #1. You can run your finds pcket query whenever you want. The timing of that will not change anything. If you have a cache in that query that no one has ever uploaded in a query, then itisnotaboutthenumbers.com will need to calculate the county the cache is in. Until it does that, it puts the cache into the "Uncalculated" county. See the attached picture. I just uploaded a pocket query to itisnotaboutthenumbers.com which had a total of 6 "uncalculated" caches in it (1 in Michigan and 5 in Ohio). The website takes about 24 hours to calculate the location of the cache and assign it a county. Once it does that, it will automatically move the cache to the correct county. I do not know if this makes sense or not. You can check out my profile on the website, if you do it in the next 23 1/2 hours, and see what I am talking about.

For what it is worth, I think you have lesson #2 down!

You explained that well and it makes more sense now. Thanks!
