Problem Scrolling GC.COM Google maps
If anybody else is still having big problems with the GC.com google maps please put your input here:
Google Map Problem
Groundspeak is saying 99% of the people have NO problem with the "parsing" and failure to scroll issues, and they can't duplicate it. I'd like to figure out how I got into the elite 1% that can't use it with IE 7

Cheech, you are not alone, I submitted my concern. Thanks for the link. I just assumed they were going to change the maps again, so I never bothered to bring it up. It is annoying, now there are at least two people within miles of each other that are in the 1%. WOW!

Re: Problem Scrolling GC.COM Google maps
As I've mentioned I've continued to have the scrolling/parsing problem with IE , Windows XP.
Today I tried another experiment.
In Norton Internet Security 2007 under Basic Securty settings I turned off "Auto-protect" and the maps worked fine. This is not something I would normally want to do, but it may help narrow down the issue if others are using a similar antivirus/firewall suite.

Re: Problem Scrolling GC.COM Google maps
I have problems with the maps when I use Special K's laptop. When I want to scroll it just a little, it shoots me over about 10 or 20 miles. But I just figured it was something with her computer.

So did we find any settings that will work with Norton? I would love to know this. I tried to turn off Auto protect, but that did not work.cheechgang wrote:I'm all ears, I don't know anything about a setting that ought to be used.Yogi57 wrote:I think there are settings to allow the maps to work with norton.

Re: Problem Scrolling GC.COM Google maps
I have Norton Security and I can scroll without any problem. I thought there was an allowed setting to certain websites. I think it's in the firewall settings. But anytime that I have problem with Norton, to solve the problem is to remove and reload the program.

Re: Problem Scrolling GC.COM Google maps
That is the only setting that lets me scroll. That will be a pain if I have to disable it all the time.cheechgang wrote:It also worked if I temporarly turned off Phishing Detection
