GC or Yahoo

Post by yogi57 »

Have anyone else been having trouble getting new cache/logs notifications? I didn't receive the Cinco De Mayo new cache notifications until Sunday afternoon. And only got one log notification on mine new cache. I'm not which one that's backing up.

It was a big problem discussed on the GC.com website. The messages seem to be dribbling in now. I have Buckeye-express. The problem is not related to a single ISP.

It's a problem with company wide spam filters and traffic. When a server (Yahoo for example) gets an accidental "Report as Spam" note, from any gc.com email, from any worldwide user, it links their website into their spammer database. Couple that with the high weekend traffic, and you get Zilch.

Side note: My excite.com email had not received gc.com emails in over a year. They don't care to remove the block ;) So, I had to switch to Yahoo.

I've been getting this problem often. I've gotten notifications of new caches after others have already found them.
