Front page design opinions.

As I have jumped on the idea of creating the front page, I now am looking for content opinions. I have been talking with Gizmo and the main basis of this front page is a Welcome and provide basic new links to the Help sections we are currently creating.

Letters that form words that would flow into sentences transforming into paragraphs developing a "Welcome" page!!! With a couple of periods. commas, exclamation marks!!! and maybe even a question mark or two?

allright, needed software installed and I will start work on a basic design tommorow or monday with a basic design ready for Tuesday

Just an update, the basic layout has been established and now if anyone can see anything else that needs to be added, please let me know. I know there are a few code issues that need cleaned up, but I am looking at just basic design elements that could be added/removed.

My only problem with the page is the picture.
Could anyone tell us which cache it's from?
I know that'd be a spoiler, but with a pic like that, our chance for a DNF goes WAY down!

that cache pic is actually a random google image and has nothing to do with this area's cache

This is the semi-final update before we go active with it. I have all the links to the left working including the temporary Think Before You Hide page.
Trackable Item Etiquette Page is updated and edited along with links to return to the NWOGEO main page.
Any more ideas are welcome, I can incorporate quite a bit with this program.

I wonder if "Please click here to Join the Main site" would be better phrased as "Please click here to Enter the Main site". The word Join implies they must become a member of the group.
