Server Clock

Post by ScouterJoe »

To the great guru's of the website. I believe the server clock did not update with the new DST. It is having the effect of making more than one post in the forums difficult.

I restarted apache and mysql to ensure they picked the new time up.

If it persists let me know.

Some of you may noticed that the clock here has been an hour off since the Daylight Savings Time changed.

As it turns out, jslagle found that the server time is fine. However built in time zone data for our site software had the old DST rules, which caused the time to be wrong.

As we have not had a chance to do a major version upgrade to our site's software yet, we have manually patched the time zone information to adjust for the new DST rules.

At least at the moment of this message, our time looks correct!
