Re: 1Babs honored by UT

Humm... Maybe an online course in Geocaching should be in the works... You know, Geocaching would be an awesome college major also (although not sure how that could be done). Congratulations at being honored!

Re: Lucky Charms Geocaching (through Wood County Parks)

Instead of taking up a spot on a basic Geocaching Program, I have signed up for a woody plant removal in Bradner to give back to the park district. https://reservations.woodcountyparkdist ... E70B25CE21

No SmartPhone = Geocaching Only (using a GPSr). However, I know about all of these (and more) based on conversations on the various podcasts I listen to.

Re: Travel Bug Rescue (TB-Rescue.com)

Yippie. My hope has been answered. Yesterday, Project-GC.com released a BETA version of their TBRescue tool to replace the old TB-Rescue site. I immediately singed up with a 40 mile radius watch area. Please sign up for a region around your home coords (default is 31 miles, but you can change it up ...

Re: Travel Bug Rescue (TB-Rescue.com)

Sad to find out that the TB-Rescue.com site shutdown a couple of days ago. As noted above, it helped my TB and I am going to return the favor and rescue a TB in Vermilion, OH within a few weeks. I hope someone else is able to take over this site or starts another with the same mission.

Yeah! There's a caboose in Holland Oh with a cache just waiting to celebrate with you (it was my 500th) and a banner to sign at the next big event (if it can still be found). Congratulations!

2016 Geocaching Resolutions

360mapr.jpg Any 2016 geocaching resolutions? I want to finish my 2015 resolution by picking up the one day that I missed in 2015 on the "days with finds" grid. I also just discovered that I have only 14 degrees left of the 360 degree challenge. So for 2016, I want to pick up at least one ...

Podcacher

I will start the geocaching podcast reviews with the most famous one, Podcacher. www.podcacher.com === If you are only going to listen to one geocaching related podcast, it should be this one. This is a family friendly podcast that stars Sonny and Sandy Portacio (current caching name "Team Podc...

Geocaching Podcasts / Videocasts

I thought I would start a Topic on Geocaching Podcasts and Videocasts. With winter coming, you may not be getting out and caching as much as you want, but still need a caching fix. I have found that Geocaching Podcasts and Videocasts help provide some relief to those withdraw symptoms. I listen to m...

Re: Sponsored Events and Traveling Meet & Eats

Sounds like some interesting thoughts. I have only made one of the Findlay M&Es and was going to try to attend one in Tiffin a month or two ago, but the plan never came together. We talked about moving the spring fling around and that seems to not be working out, yet. So maybe this plan will wor...

Re: Finds by Day/366 calendar challenge

Well, Dec 1 should have completed my 366 days, but I had missed 1 day in September. So I will have 365/366 days until Sept 23, 2016. Hopefully, I will not miss that date again.

Re: 2016 considerations for Spring Fling

I like Litzenburg, but I sure I would also like and attend anywhere that the Spring Fling happens. If someplace else does not work out this year, perhaps it will the next year.
