Re: West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h 2012 MEGA event
I really need to get out and have some fun this summer. Too much work and little play so far, and this event sounds like fun, but that is the weekend of the Aug CITO/Good dogs brunch. Maybe we'll go to Put-in-Bay or something soon.

Re: Some updated GC.com stuff
I wonder if any of these lackies have ever hid a cache or even hunted one. How long do you think a homemade sticker is going to last on a box in the woods Water, dirt, general outdoor grime? The vinyl ones like for car plates, bumper stickers etc. will last a long time but you can't print those at h...

Re: Some updated GC.com stuff
Make it a requirement of the cache that the FTF has to carry an indelible marker and inscribe the GC number on the container.. :) Actually this is a good idea if modified. You can't make it a requirement but you could ask the first finder to do it for you. Most of us local cachers would do it for e...

Re: Trees for party room?
:shakehead: Bummer. I finally heard back from my parks director. There are strict guidelines set by the BG Park Board governing free or reduced rates for facilities. Michelle has no control over this, and unfortunately what I had envisioned would not fly. She did thank us for the idea and our willin...

Re: Trees for party room?
Yes on the cito move.
I haven't heard back from my director about the trees/shelter thing. She is totally overwhelmed by trying to pass a levy for a new city pool, and now that that has passed, getting bonds issued, architects etc. I'll bug her in a few days.

Yes, but on leash. He can dig some holes. I wish my Lab "Sunny" was still around he could dig a couple hundred holes by himself in an afternoon.

Re: Trees for party room?
This is encouraging. If we get a little more response, I'll ask. Which place would you prefer, Otsego (WC parks) or back to Simpson (BG parks)?

Re: Trees for party room?
I think the planting is scheduled for 3 days, so I don't know if we would have to do it that Sat.
Another idea is: I know the Wood Co. Parks director and since the new park is co-owned, maybe he would go for the same deal and we could get Otsego or WW Knight instead of Simpson.

Trees for party room?
So, I want to run this by you. BG Parks and Wood Co. Parks own a park together. It's called Black Swamp Preserve although I prefer the name I gave it a few years ago when I had a cache there. Thistle Park. It's adjacent to my cache "Way behind home plate" in BG. Anywho, they have received ...

I think we can keep it as our adopt a hwy, even if it's not a state hwy. It's a good location and we have history.

Re: Another Bomb Squad Event, closer to home
Wow good to know all that equipment is staged and ready to go in the area. Looks like all we need is bomb sniffing dog and maybe one of those explosion containers. You don't happen to have any more of those pickle barrels do you? I'm not sure if pickles would defeat a bomb or not. I'm all out anywa...
