Re: Important update - HNY 12 mi.
We just got hit with this on Wednesday the 28th when the manager of the restaurant called. It was vary upsetting to get the news so late in the game. The manager was apologizing profusely but says the changes were out of her hands. With only 3 days left, it is too late to change venues. We will be o...

Re: Happy New Years 2012
UPDATE !!! It now looks like there will be over 150 new caches out for the event. Lots of opportunity for those FTF hunters and just plain running up some numbers. Though the best part is meeting other cachers. There are always cachers here happy to hookup with out-of-towners to help you get around.

Re: Cache-To-Cache Distance
Wow, I guess I'm lightweight 16,603 miles. If they would include placing and maintaining my own caches that # would realy jump up.

Re: Happy New Years 2012
Hope you make it Mighty Mo. If you get here, make sure you intro yourself to me and we can talk DeLorme. I'd be happy to steer you towards some of the better caches in the area. It's looks like there are about 90 of the new caches hidden now, but if you haven't cached this area it is extremely cache...

Re: Detroit/Belle Isle Year VI
I was on the Island the other day and most of the snow is gone. For those that haven't been there, be prepared for any type of weather. There is usually a bit of wind unless your in the middle of the island.
Just a note that a bike can be handy there.

Things are coming along good for this event. There are almost 60 new caches in place and that number is growing. If you look at the area of Roseville, MI you will see how dense it already is with caches. The host has been receiving some cool items for the raffles including coins. There are plenty of...

Re: What's in a name? (Geo-Name)
I have enjoyed this tread. There were many ways that our name came to pass. When I first registered with GC I made the mistake sign up with my old email name. When we finally went out and found a cache my wife said it was the first find for the Bapman Crew. The kids got a kick out of it so I changed...
