Re: Missing caches
Thanks, BBD. So much work went into that cache, and it meant a lot to me, so I was disappointed, too. Oh well. We did get to meet Memsochet because of it, though. We watched him find it, from behind the church. As he was walking to his car, we came out from our hiding place and I said, "Did you...

Re: Missing caches
My letterbox cache "From Whence I Came" was stolen twice. The second time was before anyone could even find the replacement. I think someone took it who didn't want caching going on in that cemetery. When it disappeared the first time, I thought it might be accidental (not sure how?), but ...

I thought they did give out some Jeeps at GeoBash. I left before that, though.

Re: Good places for hides???
I just need to say that I have found several of teamsox's caches and have enjoyed doing so. I especially liked "Keith's 1st Cache," which is now disabled.
You've been given some great advice and encouragement here. Don't let the opinions of some ruin it for you and for others.

Re: Good places for hides???
Honestly? There aren't that many good places for caches here (Paulding and Van Wert counties). Most of the land has been cleared for farming and there are few city parks. There really aren't even cities! teamsox, please..........don't disable your caches. This may not be the greatest area for caches...

Ahhhhhhhh........well, considering Yogi is a respected member of the geocaching community......
I'll laugh now.
P.S. I started out with a Garmin and still have that for backup (cute little yellow eTrex).

FOR SALE: Magellan Meridian Gold GPS + MapSend S & D
I bought this GPS in February, then upgraded to an eXplorist 600. It has been out on approximately a dozen geocaching trips, no more. Excellent condition, nearly new! Included in this auction is Mapsend Streets & Destinations software, as well as the screw for attaching a lanyard, which normally...

Re: GPS System Suggestions?
I got an eXplorist 600 just last week, after having used a yellow eTrex to start out, then going to a Magellan Meridian Gold. I have to say I'm still in the Merigold mode, so the eXplorist is a little more difficult for me at the moment, but I'll get used to the differences. I do much prefer the eXp...

Re: Midwest Geobash
GeoBash was only my second event ever, with the first being my Birthday Cache Bash in Ft. Wayne last September, where GeoBash was conceived. :) I had a WONDERFUL time, as did Mr. Pip, who is not into caching quite as much as I am. I'm so glad that many of the NWO cachers came up to me and introduced...
