Re: Caching Goals
My goals vary according to what is going on. Right now, I am trying to find more lonely caches than anybody (TMA and -E-). Not sure that is going to happen. The only ones left around here are tough hikes. I did two last weekend. Got into nettles at one and briars at the other. Not sure I can survive...

We had a blast. My friend from England came for a surprise visit, so she got a surprise 4 hour trip in the truck to Stow! She said she had fun. We've listened to the CD about 100 times since then.

Re: Garmin Foretrex 101
Yeah, Crystal Sound has the 101, it is downloadable. My hubby, Wafflesdad, has the 201. It does a little more, has a rechargeable internal battery that lasts about all day. It was $130 last Christmas. Both seem to get you where you are going.

Does anyone still need a team? My husband has to work, so I'm now by myself. We were going to call ourselves The Electric Mayhem. I'm so bummed I may stay home.

Hmmm....Humboldt View in Nevada was way cool. Drive up to over 6,000ft mountain top.
Ohio cache? Anything by Crystal Sound. Hang 'em High on Hanglide Hill is great. Oh, not his, but great is Moonville Tunnel Project. Way cool.

If not your GPS, a TB works, too. I was driving down the highway one day in my cache mobile (GPS mounted on dash, bumper sticker, etc) and a guy passed me, honking his horn and waving a TB out the window. I knew immediately that he was a cacher, even though, to this day, I don't know who he was.

Re: wanted!!
If I get my mother-in-laws old car, I'll be selling her old-old car. It's high mileage, but has been the best car I've ever owned. I paid $500 for it 2 years ago and I don't think I've put that much into it since, other than oil changes and tires. It's rough inside (but not horrible), but no rust. T...

Re: friendly
It is very easy to go to an event where you know many people and forget to introduce yourself to those that you don't. You get wrapped up in visiting with those you haven't seen in awhile. It doesn't mean they don't want you in their "clique", just that they didn't think to introduce thems...

That Bingo game was awesome. We met quite a few folks at the geobash that way. And heard some pretty far out stories, too! Hey Keith, if you think of it, send it to me. I'd love to use it down here.

Re: So I got bit
Looks nasty. I'd go to a different ER. In the meantime, keep antibiotic ointment on it and it wouldn't hurt to soak it in Epsom Salts a couple of times a day. Most importantly, don't wear restrictive socks/shoes. You need to keep up the circulation to the area. If you wear tight socks and it was a b...

Wow! There must be a bunch of you. When we have had meet and greets down here, there have never been more people than we could sit around two tables pushed together. Cozy.

I sent my form in before the geobash and still haven't gotten one. I've been putting in my online entry for the contest. They do have one way to win without having to find a jeep. You just fill out the online form.

Hmm. I was a Girl Sprout. If it's my day off, I'll try to make it up there. Sounds like fun. I can bring 3 GPS units.

They haven't posted the goals, yet, just the subject. You take a picture, then send the Jeep TB on its way. You can also enter the drawing on the website without actually having to do anything. They will let you enter once a week this way.
