Re: Caches Threatened
Thanks Keystone, I'll keep that in mind. Some of those caches were our first attempts and have special meaning to us. As for the rest, they are harder and perhaps he can't solve them, lol. The latest archived ones hadn't been found since early July, so when we checked on them, it's no telling how lo...

Re: Caches Threatened
Another week, and another 3 caches gone missing. I got a reply from groundspeak and it basically said what I expected. Even with a copy of his threatening e-mail, they have no proof of vandalism, and can't do much. They said I could press charges for vandalism, if I had proof, LOL. I don't have vide...

Re: Caches Threatened
Thanks for your input Keystone. I had thought about sending an e-mail your way, but I know how limited groundspeak and you are in regards to a public web site. Even to have him banned would draw attention to him that he doesn't deserve, and probably make him more vindictive. I have sent a request in...

Re: Caches Threatened
2 more caches bite the dust, for a total of 7 in the past 2 weeks. Ya think Andywashere would be getting bored by now of trashing all my caches. Soon all the easy ones will be gone, then what will he do for fun? Remember, if ya see this dude, thank him for being such a great cacher!!

Re: Caches Threatened
Another cache bites the dust, hard to imagine all these caches being muggled at the same time. At least some of my caches are safe, because they are listed under another name, P-)!!
Plus, he probably doesn't have the brain power to solve some of my puzzle caches. Thanks Andywashere!!!

Re: Caches Threatened
I never really liked the idea of "members only" caches, paying 30$ a year to find premium caches seems like alot of money. Besbart and I have shared a premium acct. since we started. Back then it gave you better maps and more details, but since it is only in my name, Besbart can't log any ...

Re: Caches Threatened
I have had 3 caches turn up missing in the past week, and some jerk threatened to trash my caches in the past week. Putting 2 and 2 together leads me to reason he is responsible. When Besbart and I started caching in 2003, it was an underground, fairly unknown game where we traveled many miles chasi...

Re: Caches Threatened
After several e-mail exchanges, I can see that his lack of common sense and uncivil tongue is not confined to just geocaching. He has taken affront at my suggestion he fix the problem he created, and states I'm not like the helpful, friendly cacher he met 2 weeks ago who gave him some hints about ge...

Caches Threatened
So i get an e-mail from this dude "andywashere", saying he tried to find our cache Hang 'Em High Here and got caught by the wrong security people apparently. If you read his log, it seems he didn't help matters either. That cache has been there for 5 years without problem, so I asked him t...

Re: High Mileage Travel Bugs or Successful Goal Stories
We dropped a bug named Traveling Troll Kids (TBVVE) Traveling Troll Kids in Myrtle Beach back in June of 2006, and it made it home again finally in December of 2007 after logging some 8,000 miles. Unfortunately we then took it to Las Vegas, and it has come up missing now .

Ask me sometime about Shadrack, if you want the scoop! But not in public, too many "official" lurkers. Never buck the system, remember

Re: How many DNF's?
I proudly have 223 DNF's along with my 1980 smileys. We log a DNF if we can't find it, regardless of whether it might be MIA or not. However, on return visits, we have been logging list notes, since we couldn't find it initially, we still haven't found it, it's still one big DNF, LOL. I think DNF lo...

As one of the FTF's on a night option there, I would recommend doing it in twilight, be adventurous! As stated before, expect anything, and don't forget the peanuts.
