Re: Geocaching in Resorts

I'm emotionally scarred for life... I just know this will haunt me every time I try for an FTF from now on If I could only figure out a way to warp the space/time continuum, then nobody would know what time I was actually there. I read somewhere that time could be folded in half - or was that just a...

I think Dr. DNF's GPS was due for a check-up anyway. ;-)

Definitely looks a lot better! I still would like the latest forum posts better if it didn't auto-scroll. :-)

Re: Interesting GC story on CNN

I just read another story about this new "Geocachers Creed" being circulated around the net as a result of the recent stupidity of certain cachers.

Has anyone seen this yet?

JR - You REBEL!

I think you better revisit those 12 steps you posted a while back. ;-)

Re: Sleders Fodder hours

I don't think it's a play on words Jason. One who sleds is definitely a sledder, not a sleder. :-) Regarding my blatant disregard for the "law", I just went over and read the entire thread at gc.com about this issue. WOW! Don't people have anything better to do? I guess not, or I wouldn't ...

Re: Sleders Fodder hours

Geez, I'm sure turning into a troublemaker in the geo-community. I need to clean up my act... ;-) I guess if I would have gone for the cache in the daylight, I would have seen the sign with posted hours. I'm all about having a good time, and part of the fun is trying to be first to find. I'll try to...

Re: Accident on 1/8/2006 caching

Hey Jason - I'm not sure how I missed this post, but I just read it tonight... I'm always afraid something like this is going to happen to me as I'm driving around trying to look at my GPS. Yikes! I'm very happy that you were all OK and I hope there are no residual effects hanging around. Keep well!...

Interesting GC story on CNN

This sport is growing, and its nice to be mentioned on CNN's website , but I'm not sure this is the press we really need. However, it is a good idea to keep this stuff in mind when placing caches and be mindful of how it might appear to authorities or other non-cachers who might uncover the goods. T...

Re: Rearranged NWOGeo website?

I kinda like the idea of having two modules (content boxes) in the center pane at the top of the page... One for news headlines, and one for most recent forum posts. For news, each entry would just have a headline and very short blurb. You could then click the headline to see the whole story. The re...

Re: Rearranged NWOGeo website?

I agree with JR... The site needs a good cleanup since there are so many old stories on the main page. I think the pizza place survey is even still up there from the holiday shindig. :-) If there's an opportunity, I would probably be interested in joining the tech committee and/or becoming a moderat...

GC website updates

Did anyone else notice the look & feel updates they did over at geocaching.com? It looks a lot nicer and also seems like they incorporated ajax technology (or something similar) to make the page more seamless and not refresh so much. For instance, you can decode the hint on a cache page and not ...

Re: Was Santa good to you this year?

I got a new hooded flannel (which I wore to the Geo-Xmas shindig) and a new 5-LED / 1 red LED flashlight AND a headlamp with 1 red LED, 2 white LED's and one single beam regular bulb. Using the red LED's at night is amazing! I also bought myself some new thinsulate work gloves for caching and, well,...
