Re: 2020 NWOGEO Spring Fling
Can we get a *little* bit of guidance from the Steering Committee on this? I feel like you already have a list of options for locations: the places where Spring Fling has already been held and the other places that people have suggested in the past few years. Is there a reason none of those places w...

Re: METROPARKS CACHE PERMITS 2018
So after all the bluster, they've done nothing to/about the caches that don't have current permits.

Re: METROPARKS CACHE PERMITS 2018
I think we need to get out ahead of this with NORTA for the Wabash Cannonball west of the county line. I'm very concerned that they'll hand over control of the trail to Toledo Metroparks as sections get paved. That will effectively kill all WCT caches. Let's talk to NORTA about specifically preventi...

Re: Sponsored Events and Traveling Meet & Eats
I think we're still looking at the option of moving Spring Fling, but we're still looking for a location that is on par with Litzenberg. We'd need a place with an enclosed pavilion that we could rent for a reasonable cost, with running water and electricity, and attached to enough real estate to hid...

Re: Sponsored Events and Traveling Meet & Eats
My experience with Sittin' Round Talkin' Cache in northeast Ohio is that we would need to be very clear (preferably in the cache name) where that month's meetup is. I can't tell you how many times cachers came to Café Europa when we were at Panera or vice versa. I'm not opposed to a "Every Xth&...

A Bully of a Milestone for CG27 and PBZ!
I'm pretty sure this is what Teddy Roosevelt had in mind when the US took over construction of the Panama Canal. On October 20th, cachergirl27 hit her 8000th cache and pbz his 5000th at http://coord.info/GC6CD6, a mere six days after they got engaged! Congrats on all three milestones!

Re: 2016 considerations for Spring Fling
There aren't official boundaries, but the centroid for NWOGEO is probably southwest of Bowling Green. There are folks who drive an hour north to Spring Fling, as well as those who drive an hour south. It even draws people from the west side of Cleveland, and from Indiana. NWOGEO overlaps with some s...

Re: 2016 considerations for Spring Fling
Lima is just so far away for someone who's car is falling apart. Yes, there would be a wonderful opportunity for caching on the way down, but quite honestly, Bowling Green is to far for my car. Walbridge Park is small and expensive, and inconvenient for much of NWOGEO territory. It would also requi...

It is in BG so that it isn't so far away for the folks in Tiffin, Lima, Findlay, Carey, etc.TTFNcachn wrote:To bad it couldn't be in Toledo. It would make it a lot easier for me to get there. I will do my best. Catcachn really wants to go.

Re: Water Walk
Looks like we have a few more nice days - do we have a plan? I'm still willing to go, but my not having found it previously is a valid concern. I'm off work by 4:30 and could be ready to hit the water by 5.

Re: Water Walk
I don't know anything about the walk or the island - have we missed our window of opportunity? How does it get fixed in place? I'd be willing to give it a shot if we get another warmish day.
